You don’t need a church and a ballroom to have an elegant wedding. This couple met at Mt. Hood at
the 6,000 foot level one ski season, and choose to pronounce their union there. It was a picturesque
afternoon with Mt. Hood framing them in the background for their ceremony.

As untraditional as the groom’s attire, which is now becoming more the norm than an exception, was the
uniqueness of the boutonničre that he wore. The florist designed it by using cedar and hops, while also
incorporating pine cones. She put the final touch on it by simply tying it off with a sage green ribbon to
keep with the desired accent color to be incorporated throughout the day.

Now a days, with the important role that pets play in their owner’s daily lives, we highly recommend
incorporating your beloved pets into your special day; venue permitting of course! For this particular
couple, their dog was the ring bearer, and was present from the beginning of the day, and up until the
close out of the reception.

The view of the mountain range captures the natural beauty surrounding the event which complimented the
simple and elegant event design. The bride, wearing a simple elegant custom dress with coordinating sage
green flip flops and sash, was escorted down the aisle by her father who sported an earth tone suit.

The bride and groom created a picture perfect moment amongst the wild flowers that grow native to the
Mt. Hood region of Oregon. Utilizing the natural environment around the event is a way to preserve the
elegant beauty surrounding the day.

The intimate ceremony was witnessed by only close family and friends who were shuttled by bus to the
6,000 foot level on Mt. Hood. The breathtaking view of the snow capped mountain in the background
only added unforgettable beauty to the day.

Securing a unique venue that allows you to show off your individual style, and one that poses no
limits, is exactly what this couple did. Deciding to host their wedding reception in a private Meadow
on Mt. Hood, allowed us the opportunity to customize every last detail of their reception to ensure
that it exceeded all of the couples wildest dreams! The tents, lighting, staging, dance floor, sound
system, tables, chairs, linens, heating elements, candle light, custom luminaries, tiki torches,
portable restrooms, garbage cans, and even the generator were delivered to the meadow for our
production company to design this magical event and for our clients wishes to come to life!
With every detail attended to, and the vision carried out, this day is surely one that both the
couple and their guests will remember for a lifetime!

For many couples these days, hosting a party for their close family and friends following the wedding
ceremony is more the overall desire, vs. having a traditional wedding reception. As this was the case
with this particular couple, we created a whole separate area adjacent to the reception tent to house
more of a cocktail area; featuring beautifully adorned bistro tables, lots of candlelight, a
full-service bar, and an area conducive to conversing amongst friends. This allowed for guests to mix
and mingle more easily vs. the standard, sit-down wedding reception.

In keeping with implementing those elements into your wedding day that reflect your personal likes
and those things that are important to you, we proposed presenting a wedding cake that was very unique
and special to the couple; complimenting the overall theme for the day. We found a baker out of
Seattle, Washington that could bake the cake to our specifications, using an image that we’d forwarded
to him of the mountain… Although the client chose to pass, the baker even offered to create two exact
replica’s of the couple skiing down the mountain! And to our surprise, this cake not only complimented
the overall theme for the day, it also tasted absolutely delicious!

It’s funny as the more weddings we produce, the more we find that many people don’t particularly care
for cake! With this in mind, and again throwing “tradition out the door,” we suggested offering guests
the opportunity to “design their own ice cream sundae,” complimenting the overall uniqueness of the day.
We set up a fully loaded ice cream sundae station, including every kind of topping you could imagine,
where the guests at their leisure could create a delectable treat that was sure to delight any palate!

Creative favors can be a topic of conversation for your guests. Custom wine labels give your guests
a lasting gift to take with them. This allows them to enjoy one of your favorite wines as a thank you
while remembering your very special day.
